Brian Dinkins is the Founder of the National Institute for Child Empowerment (NICE), a not-for-profit organization committed to empowering children by equipping parents, students, and educators with essential social, emotional and academic skills that ensure holistic learning and overall well-being. He is also the principal of Providence Cristo Rey College Preparatory School, a school serving inner city youth.
Brian was raised by a single mother in the inner city of Indianapolis and attended Indianapolis Public Schools all his life. He didn't have high achievement as a student in school, however, because of hardship and lessons learned he has committed himself to professional learning, achieving a B.A. in Psychology from Purdue, M.A.T. in Education from Oakland City University, M.S. in Educational Administration from Butler University, Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S) from Ball State University and is finishing his Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D) from BSU with his area of research being culturally responsive social and emotional learning.
Brian is married to Victoria Dinkins and the father of two (Olivia & Addison). He has made it his life’s mission to support the academic and social-emotional success of every child he encounters by empowering the educational institution, neighboring communities, and faith-based stakeholders to address the needs of all youth
