PARENT EMPOWERMENT

STUDENT EMPOWERMENT
Programs:
"DREAMS" - is a program that teaches parents a set of academic strategies and interventions for their child ranging in ages infant to 5 years old that enhances their children's readiness for academic learning in a school setting.
PES - Parent Empowerment Sessions that provide a systematic approach to developing your child's social-emotional skills(Life Skills). These strategies are researched-based and are easy to implement. Sessions vary based on age group and are offered to parents with children ages: (Newborn - 5), (6-9), (10-12), (13-18)

TEACHER EMPOWERMENT
Programs:
"Strong Start" - is a new teacher on-boarding support that provides a toolbox of strategies that support new teachers ability to go into the school year feeling empowered to create well managed learning environments. This support develops the teachers culturally responsive social-emotional aptitude and provides a toolbox of strategies that are easily implemented. This support can also be used for teachers who have been in teaching but still need help with their learning environment.

"SEAI" - Social, Emotional and Academic Instruction Development System
Our leadership team is in the process of finalizing the SEAI, an instructional development system that provides detailed instructional methodology and strategies allowing teachers a clear model of how to embed social-emotional learning in their daily instruction. The team has developed an SEAI instructional rubric that scaffolds this instruction and allows teachers to monitor their own growth using this system. Programs:
"The Barbershop Male Mentoring Initiative", (BMMI) is a male mentoring program that focuses on African American males from ages of 14 – 21 years of age. BMMI, was founded by Frederick Yeakey in 2010, while teaching at Arlington High School. Mr. Yeakey struggled with his black males with poor attendance, high suspension and poor engagement. After having a discussion with a few students, they came up with the idea of creating an afterschool club where they could get free haircuts while creating meaningful relationships with adult males. That year, over 12 students participated and all went on to graduate from High School. Since 2010, BBMI has been providing haircut, positive mentorship, tutoring, and much more throughout various places in Indianapolis.
"Empower Prep" - is a college, career, and character development program for 5-8th grade students that provides academic support, career cluster exploration, and character development. The purpose of Empower Prep is to prepare students for high school choices that align with their future goals.

SCHOOL LEADER EMPOWERMENT
Programs:
"CRSEL Leadership Training" - is a interactive and self-reflective leadership training that allows school leaders to assess their personal social-emotional aptitude and evaluate their schools CRSEL climate and how SEL supports the school's instructional program and learning environment. This training also allows school leaders to identify areas of need and develop a systematic plan to address the areas that support an engaged learning environment and academic growth for all students.
